What are the main events and characters that most influence the power dynamics of the group in lotf

one main event is Simon dying that is a very tragic event the way how they all think he’s the beast and they all beat him up and do a dance at the end to celebrate hes death.

The fire is also a sad event when they tried to burn Ralph and cause a massive fire and every thing turns mad.”we must make a fire.”

The first meeting is held a they boys specify what is needed for them to survive on the island. “Conch that’s what it’s called”

when the boys talk about the beast for the first time and they get scared. “Beastie”

jack and his tribe kill a pig and place her decapitated head on a wooden stake. “We’ll kill a pig and give a feast.”

the face paint

the face paint is a small event in the book that happend at the end of the book when jacks tribe leave and disband Ralphs tribe. and they also went to castle rock to create the face paint the face paint represents a gang or something to hide from they also change when wearing the mask.

piggys death

One of the main events in the story of the flies is when piggy dies of the rock when Ralph and jack fight after jack starts to wear face paint. this is also when we realize what the face paint actually means. The face paint actually represents their group or their tribe  as they call it. The face makes them feel that they can be someone absolutely different from who they are. when they wear their face paint they turn into savages and are bloodthirsty. This is in chapter twelve cry of the hunters. The way i know this is from the quote “piggy and Simon lay over the island like vapour ” This is saying that they may be dead but they are still with them as in their soul is still with them on the island as you as the reader is told not to forget these characters as they may come up further on in the story. One of the characters that stood out to me that mostly influences the power dynamics in the group in the lord of the flies was jack he was to rude  and felt that he needed to corrupt the group to violence and because of he is so disruptive  and before all of this corruption was two groups that wanted to do two different things as Ralph wanted to make a fire and jack wanted to mess around as he didn’t care if he went home or not as he liked his new life on the island he could do what ever what he liked and this affected everyone on the island as then they wanted to take the stronger side which was jacks side even though he was in the wrong they felt the need to join him as the little kids stay with Ralph. Jack also was the cause of two deaths one was piggy and the other one was Simon because he told everyone to attack apparently the beast but it actually was Simon and this is my proof of how jack influenced the power dynamics of the group.

Analysis paragraph

William Golding presents the power of nature using pathetic fallacy in ch.9. He creates an atmosphere where the weather us encouraging the boys to develop their nature l. This is demonstrated when the thunder is described ‘only just bearable’ you can tell just is highly exaggerated in the tone of voice.

what is the significance of the dead parachutist in the Lord of the flies?

The significance is that it scares jack and also gives him power because he is scared and doesn’t care about losing.

William Golding – Context Research

William Golding was born on September 19, 1991 and he died June 19, 1993

2. he was a school teacher, a poet, a novelist and a play writer.

3. coral island by Robert Balentine because it wa about two boys that got shipwrecked went on a island and in te night time there would be a canibal party and they fought off the canibals and escaped in a happy ending.

5. Golding was horrified by what war revealed about people’s capacity to harm their fellow humans. He was appalled by what happened in the Nazi concentration camps, and by the way the Japanese mistreated their prisoners. He was appalled too by the consequences of the British and American mass bombing against civilians – and even by what he himself did as a naval officer.

6. he wrote lotf on September 1954 and NATO the Cold War between NATO and USSR. NATO and USSR had nuclear weapons. So the world was on the edge of war. The reason why this relates to the book is because they crashed and apparantly a bomb hit the plane ‘we was attacked!’ And ‘didn’t you hear what the pilot said about the atom bomb ? They’re all dead.’

7.

Who might you want to lead you.

From my point of view Jack is so eager to become a leader. I think if he gets to be a leader he won’t be able to handle it or even know how to lead everyone. Evidence for this is he said “I ought to be chief!” Jack does many different activities without Ralph knowing. This suggests that Jack really wants to be a leader and he thinks he’s too good to follow Ralph. He would make a good leader because he is really commanding and he is also brave.Jack is not scared of anything. Moreover,he gives out really good orders. On the other hand, he could be really selfish and blunt at times and just betrays them.

From my point of view I think Ralph would be a really good leader because he has more experience. As soon as they landed on the beach he was the leader because he sunk into that role and did really good as he is always straight forward with anyone on the beach and more importantly clever and he has got some common sense. Evidence for this is when he says ‘well then’ all at once he found he can talk fluently and explain what he had to say.”

Technology in classrooms doesn’t make students smarter

I disagree with this motion because I think technology does help students because when your in class and you have your work on a link of a website like edutronic no matter what device you have got or that is provided to you you can get on to your work.

The 2 main reasons why people may disagree with me are because on your phone or laptop you can mess around with them and the other point is that if you delete the folder then you can’t go on it and you lose your work.

Another strong point is without technology I wouldn’t be able to read the motion and any person who doesn’t have a bit of technology are living in the dark ages most stuff in this world are based on technology so if students can’t and don’t use them in the class there’s no point having them

People may disagree with them because you can mess around with technological things like a book and if you lose that book then you lose that book forever if you delete a folder you can go on recently deleted and get the folder back. Billions of people use technology today if you don’t ten you are not up to scratch with the 21st century world. Do you have kids do they have phones ? If they do how would you like it if you brought a phone for your child and he couldn’t use it for educational needs how would you feel ?

Technology, technology is a really useful source for work plus you can save your work on a usb and even if you lose your usb it is still there teachers use their usbs to teach and to hold all of their stuff on a usb if it wasn’t for usbs teachers won’t be able to do what they do now.

These are nine reasons why technology is useful for students.

Technology is everywhere, and in almost every part of our lives. It affects how we shop, socialize, connect, play and most importantly learn. With their great and increasing presence in our lives it only makes sense to have mobile technology in the classroom. Yet there are some schools that are delaying the future of using technology in the classroom as the valuable learning tool it is.

1. If used correctly, will help prepare students for their future careers, which will also include the use of wireless technology.

2. Introducing technology into the classroom is definitely a great way to reach your targets in learning.

3. It gives students the chance to interact with their classmates more by encouraging them to talk with each other more often.

4.Technology helps the teachers prepare students for the real world. As our country becomes increasingly more futeristic it becomes even more necessary that to be successful people, students must learn to be.

5. Technology in education everyday helps students stay engaged. Today’s students love technology so they are sure to be interested in learning if they can use the things they love.

6. With technology, the classroom is a happier place. Students are excited about being able to use technology and therefore are more easy to learn.

7. When mobile technology is available in the classroom, students are able to access the most up to date to information quicker and easier than ever before.

8. Students become more responsible. Technology helps students take more control over their own learning. They learn how to make their own decisions and actually think for themselves.

9. Student can have access to digital textbooks that are constantly updated and often more vivid, helpful, creative, and a lot cheaper than those old heavy books.

If your school is still debating using the latest technology, I hate to break it to you, but it’s the inevitable future of education anyways. It is important that school wireless networks keep up with the ever changing technology in order to keep up with our students. From the ease of communicating with their teachers via e-mail, to quickly accessing an overabundance of information online about a particular topic they have learned about in class, technology is needed in today’s classroom.

Essay

The power is kept by Napoleon through a number of methods the most important one from my perspective is Napoleon is intimidating because he is very strong and has got a big body and dogs that are very scary and black mails all the time i know this because Napoleon says “bring snowball alive for a bushel of apples and bring him dead for half a bushel of apples”.

This creates an image of the humans  on top of the broken windmill with one arm up proud of destroying it and really proud of how angry the pigs will be and as you can tell they wasn’t happy at all.

Napoleon keeps his powers by getting his dogs to do every thing for him so like fight for him and scare people of because In the middle of chapter five it says  “enormous dogs wearing brass studded collars came pounding down in the barn and dazed straight at snowball.” And snow ball got his tail bit and then escaped and slipped through a hole. He loves his dong so he made a flag singing beats of England.

I also think that the other way he keeps his power is because of squealer, squealer always runs around sticking up for Napoleon saying “Napoleon is always right.”and bravery is not enough.”  this makes Napoleon feel smart and very proud of himself. This shows that squealer takes Napoleon’s side and helps him keep his power.

Napoleon is very convincing he always thinks of a way to convince every one these are some examples he plays on there fears a lot and he also gets squealer to do it he plays on there fears quite a lot as he always brings out the dog with there big teeth and also they growl very loud to imitate people and make them scared and run of like snowball as the book says he slipped through a hole and went off even though he comes back and destroys the windmill he’s scared for life in case the dogs come back and hurt him.

also boxer really trusts Napoleon as he doesn’t do anything without him and Napoleon sets the dogs on boxer and you can tell boxer is strong because he says “shall i kill them or spare them. this proves that you cant have power without force and Napoleon has a very strong horse on his side and a very convincing pig which is squealer and himself which is very convincing as-well and he is also a pig.

i think that the humans take a large part of this book only because the fact of they took down the windmill.

Paragraph

Squealer pursuades them to stay by  saying mr jones is going to leave and by saying all the pigs and everyone is going to have good health. ” surely there is no one among you who wants to see mr jones to come back” this says that no one wants to see him come back . This shows that he is playing on the fears to get them to do what he wants. In the future it will be the same because they will all listen to him.
